2018 Qing Ming Memorial Ceremony of The Practices and Vows of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva of The Avatamsaka Sutra

In upholding the Buddhist spirit of compassion and alleviating all sufferings of sentient beings, Ocean Sky Chan Monastery has constantly promoted the spirit of filial piety and the virtue of thankfulness.

Towards this goal, on March 25, 2018, Sunday, at 9:00 am, the Monastery is holding the Qing Ming Memorial Ceremony. During the ceremony, The Practices and Vows of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva of The Avatamsaka Sutra will be chanted, followed by the Grand Meal Offering, Blessing and Memorial Prayers, Dharma talk, and Offering to the Sangha.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, we will dedicate all merits towards attainment of world peace and prosperity for all the people. May our deceased ancestors, loved ones and foes, be able to transcend suffering and get reborn in the higher realms. May all members of our family, friends and all living beings be replete with blessings and wisdom. May all sentient beings across ten Dharma realms be liberated from suffering and enter the sea of true nature. We therefore invite all lay devotees and families to attend this auspicious ceremony to listen to the Dharma teachings and be replete in Dharma Joy.
